SCOPE OF WORK:
834 W. ARMITAGE – WALGREENS
Centaur was chosen to be the General Contractor for a brand new Walgreens. This location falls in the middle of a landmarked district, but technically was not designated a landmark. The architects Camburas & Theodore’s goal was complement the existing architecture and environmental characteristics surrounding it. Centaur was closely involved during the entire design process to ensure the community was happy with the new addition to their neighborhood. The amazing design of the building incorporates the historic architectural elements of its surroundings as well as bringing in a modern day look. The front glass façade brings the natural exterior into the interior space. The natural light accentuates the architectural curve at the Walgreens entrance. Centaur carefully constructed a site management plan so traffic concerns and noise volume would be minimal throughout the process.
