The Owners of Maple & Ash are previous clients of Centaur Construction and thus Centaur was the natural choice as the General Contractor and Construction Manager for their highly anticipated restaurant in the Gold Coast. Working to realize the vision of acclaimed designer Karen Herold of Chicago based Studio K, Centaur engaged all its resources to secure the finest craftsman for the task at hand. Known for her timeless yet eclectic design style, the 12,500 square foot restaurant would be spread across 3 floors and make use of the magnificent 35 foot tall ceilings in the private dining area. The aroma of hardwoods comes from an expansive and glistening open air kitchen. Complementing their culinary offerings, guests enjoy the subtle hues of the Venetian Plaster walls, rustic French Oak ceilings and floors, elegant steel doors, enchanting light fixtures and plush fabrics. The décor serves as the perfect canvas for the vibrant yet comfortable furnishing making Maple & Ash an experience for all the senses. Extensive millwork, complicated sequencing and, challenging logistics added to the excitement of this undertaking but the end result is a truly spectacular dining experience.
