SCOPE OF WORK:
STIO
Based on Centaur’s success with Sprinkles, a previous project, and the relationship that was built with the client, we were provided with the opportunity by Stio to construct their second store in existence. The project was an interior retail space gut and new construction for a 1,700 square foot store on Damen Avenue designed by Ellinger-Yehia Design, a Wyoming based architectural firm. The architectural design of the interior, with its extensive amount of custom millwork, alternating wood floor patterns, new storefront, second floor office, required an intense attention to detail and precise execution. From the start, the project experienced budget, schedule and pre-existing condition challenges that were overcome through dedicated commitment to value engineering and hiring key subcontractors early on in the process. Multiple, carefully placed layouts, coupled with constant communication and collaboration with the Millwork contractor, avoided conflicts prior to millwork being fabricated. This intricate planning allowed for Centaur to seamlessly execute the installation of the millwork, which was a necessity to complete the project on-time. All in all, through committed cooperation of all parties involved, the project was completed on time and within the budget. In the owner’s own words, “This exceeded my expectations”.
