This Streeterville residential remodel was referred to Centaur Interiors by a client whom we were in the process of completing their own residential remodel. From the start, there was an instant chemistry with the Project team. The vision on both ends were remarkably similar and the process and organization Centaur Interiors presented from conception was very beneficial for the homeowner. This solidified us being awarded the construction in addition to the initial design. To transform this 3,300 sq. ft.(including balcony) space, various light, dark materials and textures were utilized. The open layout and wall to ceiling windows of the living room and kitchen areas created a great foundation. The Mosaic tiles span the complete living room wall with high gloss white lacquer panels incorporated with floating shelves and suspended concrete mantle. Details such as a concealed tv behind a movable art screen, LED lighting and Ecosmart fireplace, complete the living room area. With the collaboration of Snaidero and Wolf Sub-Zero, Centaur Interiors was able to create a kitchen with clean lines and effortless functionality. A custom built floating stained ash ceiling that hides the exhaust system is highlighted with LED down lights. The 2” mitered quartz countertops incorporated a recess flush mounted cooktop, HVAC and waterfall return. Not only was a stunning home built to exceed the homeowner’s expectations, but a great relationship was created in the process.
