5 – ALL EYES TO THE FUTURE – AN ARTIST’S DREAM
For all the processes we currently employ in our daily business, Centaur recognizes that in order to continue to provide our clients with the best service in the industry, to remain Artists in the field of Building, we must remain on the cutting edge of construction technologies at all times. Along with our implementation for V6, our Preconstruction Department is currently researching Building Information Modeling systems such as Autodesk’s Revit and Navisworks, which will allow us to examine building designs in a 3D Model environment to head off constructability issues at the pass. We are additionally studying new technologies in scheduling known as 4D Scheduling in Navisworks, which allows us to add a time component to a 3D Model, effectively “animating” the construction of a building in a 3D Simulation, in order to most efficiently schedule all activities, down to the minute if necessary.
We are excited about these new technologies, and we look forward to utilizing whatever methods, either tried and true or inventive and new, to bring your project to a successful completion.
